High Tide

The sense of in-betweenness when the sea reaches its height and everything pauses.

I like these in-between spaces, shorelines, thresholds, the quiet times between one season and the next. They hold a strange tension, a mix of calm and possibility. A reminder nothing is ever fixed.

The moon’s gravity, that invisible pull that draws water and the world into rhythm. It’s such a simple relationship: two bodies moving around one another, held together by distance and attraction.

Each tide leaves behind its own pattern, a record of time passing. Every shifting line of seaweed, every change in colour, gradient in stones, is the trace of something larger, constant, and unseen.

My work always begins with the material - pure gorgeous cashmere - and the knit process. I try to make pieces that will exist through time, I begin with the technique itself and I'm guided by an attention to what feels essential and beautiful.

High Tide is continuation of this practice, exploring texture and shape in colours that hold a sense of the natural world from which they came.
