Hilltop
I often climb Killiney Hill, near my studio, it’s where I go to reflect. The air is different up there. Sometimes I sit quietly and listen, birds in the trees, the wind coming off the sea. One morning, a peregrine falcon screamed overhead, and I felt reminded of the wild beauty we belong to.
At the heart of everything I do is a deep respect for craftsmanship and nature. The textures, the quiet beauty, the changing light and these moments of stillness feed into every knitted stitch and design I make.
When I design, I think deeply about the person who will wear each piece. How do they want to feel? What do they need? What do they cherish? My goal has always been to create beautiful knitwear that enriches your life - not just for a season, but for years.
Ros Duke is my way of resisting the fast-paced cycles of fashion. I believe in slow creation, intentional design, and clothes made with care, for people and for the planet. Sustainability, to me, means choosing garments that last and that you’ll reach for over and over again.
We belong to the natural world. My knitwear is a celebration of that belonging; a quiet, thoughtful rebellion against excess. A labour of love, made to be loved.
